T I M O T H Y C H O I
Founder & Managing Partner
I founded MEC Capital Partners with the belief that manufactured housing and workforce multifamily are essential to America's affordable housing solutions. Every resident deserves a well-managed, high-quality home, and investors deserve a disciplined, resilient vehicle for capital compounding.
My career is defined by executing institutional-grade strategies, raising capital, and scaling national acquisition platforms, with nearly $700M in aggregate transaction volume across various real estate asset classes and strategies. Prior to MEC, I was the Managing Director of Acquisitions at Point Acquisitions, where I focused on expanding their nationwide industrial acquisitions platform and leading capital-raising efforts.
Earlier in my career, as Vice President of Acquisitions for Cypress Equity Investments, an institutional multifamily developer, I led their East Coast expansion into the Dallas and Denver markets. I also served as Director of Acquisitions for R.A. Cohen, a family office focused on value-add commercial real estate assets in New York City's five boroughs.
My operational track record is supported by a Master’s in Real Estate Development from New York University and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Washington. Outside of my professional life, I am an avid cyclist.
